About The Book

"Light on Ayurveda" is a quarterly journal geared for all levels of interest, from beginning students to experienced practitioners, and offering peer-reviewed articles on clinical application of Ayurvedic science and knowledge. Its goal is to bring the knowledge of Ayurveda to every household.

This journal is published by Light on Ayurveda Educational Foundation Inc. (LOAEF), a non-profit organization, based in Massachussetts, U.S.A. LOAEF produces pamphlets and brochures for the Ayurvedic education of the general public and offers articles to enhance knowledge of Ayurveda.

"Light on Ayurveda" journal contains research material; Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), informative health articles; articles on the basics of Ayurvedic science; ayurvedic medical case studies; a directory of practitioners; information on common diseases and their treatment in Ayurveda; details of Ayurvedic medicines available in the U.S.; sattvic cooking recipes, particularly with spices; calendar of events; book reviews; listing of Ayurvedic schools; etc. etc.

LOAEF's mission is to serve Ayurvedic practitioners, students of Ayurveda, and all who are interested in Ayurveda.
